Rob Dale started Bala Chang with a mission to create Amazing Asian sauces for people who love tropical flavours and spiciness of the orient. With just two cooking pans in a kitchen in the East of England, Bala Chang started their journey of Asia.

THE MAN BEHIND THE MAGIC

MAJOR FOODIE

Rob’s a bit of foodie entrepreneur and cares massively about the punchy flavour of food. He says the products he creates are a result of the passion for the people he meets and the amazing journeys he goes on.

His love for South East Asian cuisine first started while selling food in Singapore and Hong Kong, having recently travelled through Asia in 2017 on his ‘Finding Mandalay’ Tour and in 2018 on his ‘Backroad Treks’ tour he developed a love for Burma, it’s the crossroads of Asia where the flavours are rich and sour but the people are fantastic… its a fusion of inspiration for our Hot, Sweet and Sour flavours of Bala Chang…
